Outdoor Power Equipment Recycling in the Peace Region

Outdoor Power Equipment Recycling in the Peace Region

The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute of Canada (OPEIC) is now accepting items for recycling in our area.  The OPEIC is a stewardship program in BC that started July 1, 2012.  This program is funded through recycling fees paid at the time you purchased your equipment.  There is no additional cost to you when you go to recycle it at the end of life.

It took some time to find collection participants in the North, but they are now ready to go.  There is now a collector in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek.  You can take your equipment to Richmond Steel in Fort St. John, or DC Campbell Recycling in Dawson Creek.
